Kidlink is by and for volunteers of all ages. All our work opportunities can be completed via home or work computers. Most work is done online, via the Internet and email.

You can schedule your work the way you like, to suit time constraints, personal preferences, a disability, or an obligation at home.

Technical assistance

Finding information to use in an upcoming grant proposal or newsletter; translating web pages into your language; preparing information for our Web site; making sure our Web site is accessible for people with disabilities; registering appropriate web pages with online search engines, directories and "What's New" sites; inputting our volunteer opportunities into the many online databases available for such; designing a database system using our database software; providing advanced Web site programming (creating automated forms, interactive areas, etc.); managing other volunteers.

User support

Provide online mentoring and instruction via e-mail; be part of our online support group, where members provide advice to others via a chat room, mailing list or by email; supervise or moderate chat rooms, mailing lists; work with other volunteers to create an educational project; distance learning: training volunteers in the use of Kidlink's programs and activities.

Direct contact with potential users of our services

Volunteers and youth with disabilities; indigenous youth; youth speaking other languages; teachers; parents; aunts and uncles; grandparents and senior citizens.
