Google Analytics

The statistics at left covers 8 days in January 2005. It shows where visitors come from to view the FAQ Response page, and what they do next.

Google Analytics allows you to extend or reduce the period covered by the report. If you log in daily, and keep a note of figures and changes, you may be able to see immediate effects of changes you have made on the web page with the intention of leading viewers in any desired direction.

To get this report, copy and paste the code segment below into the top of the html of your content, immediately before the </HEAD> tag of each page you are planning to track. If you use a common include or template, you can enter it there.

If you have Kidlink pages that you are maintaining, contact Odd for access.

The Google Analytics code segment:

 <SCRIPT src="http://www.google-analytics.com/urchin.js" type="text/javascript"></SCRIPT>
<SCRIPT type="text/javascript">
_uacct = "UA-5992602-1";
urchinTracker(); </SCRIPT>

How it works
Each time someone views your page, a small message is sent to Google Analytics.
Statistics are calculated on the basis of these reports. After you first install the tracking code, it generally takes 24 hours for report data to appear in our account. Google Analytics generally updates your reports every 24 hours.
