Adding Top Menus
To Web Pages

The picture above shows the beginning of the .html code showed by FrontPage of an arbritary Kidlink web page:
  • It has a <TITLE> which seems OK.
  • It does not have the Google code, which needs to be inserted before the </HEAD> command (the first highlighted word in the picture above).
  • It does not have a <description> for Google and other search engines to show searchers.
  • It does not have a top menu that helps visitors get around our site.

The following pages give some hints about practical ways to include these items in web pages:

Step 1: Decide a top menu to use in this directory
Step 2: Adding the Google code
Step 3: Turn the codes into a template

Next step: Add the top menu codes to the other pages in the directory. Don't forget to update <TITLE> and <DESCRIPTION>s.
