Web Page Footers

Art by Tia from the United States , girl, 11, 2003

By collecting links for navigating to key resources and the search form at the bottom of the page, it becomes easier to give your page the look you want. This is also where you include a "Next page:" or "Back" link to make it easier for visitors to navigate around Kidlink. See example at the bottom of this page.

As a minimum, you should have the following in your footer:

  • the search form
  • the name of the person who has created this version of the page, with a link to a home page, or an email address, so that it easy for others to tell if they find a bad link or want to submit some kind words.
  • the date of the last version of the web page (preferably by including an automatic script - samples).
  • the copyright statement, with link
  • Kidlink's logo linked to the top page at http://www.kidlink.org/index.html
