Being Noticed On Google

Good page titles and page descriptions are needed
to make users want to view your pages!

Note for translators.

Google, and other search engines, will list the Kidlink pages they find using the title and description which are written into the web pages' source code as illustrated above. The title is what you see on the blue ribbon at top of your screen when viewing this page with Internet Explorer and other web browsers (color may differ). The description is usually not visible, but is still used to describe the page whenever available.
To see the title's and descriptions of pages recorded by Google, use this search term:
site:kidlink.org inurl:folder

Replace "folder" by the name of the folder on Kidlink's site, for example:

site:kidlink.org inurl:/english/general/k/

You may also include a file name in the command, as in

site:kidlink.org inurl:/english/general/k/index.html

Even though you may put the the title and description meta tags directly into the html of a web page, it is usually much faster, safer, and simpler to use the web editors to help you do it:
