"Until" above means that the position in question will be subject to a vote early in the given year. The Kidlink Society Board consists of one representative for each of these six world areas: Africa, Asia, Central and South America, Europe, North America, Pacific. They can only be elected by members living in these areas. Any member can be elected. In addition, the Kidlink Project Director is a member of the Board. In the absence of candidates from listed world area(s), the elected members of the Board may appoint temporary Board members to represent those areas until appropriate candidates can be identified. Kidlink is owned and operated by an international non-profit organization called the Kidlink Society. Norway is its base of operations. (Reg.no. 976 536 258 in the Norwegian Enhetsregisteret.) The Kidlink Society's financial affairs are administered by a foundation, Stiftelsen Kidlink, with the public registration number 976 839 625. A "stiftelse" is a nonprofit organization as defined in The Norwegian Law: "Lov om stiftelser m.m.".
